More About WCAGT

WCAGT is an affiliate of the state parent organization for gifted children and an enrichment and advocacy group for gifted children in the Grand Valley area. It also functions as an information and support organization for parents of high ability and high potential children. The organization was formerly named ACE, Advocates for Children’s Enrichment.

We meet once a month during the school year. Please join us!

WCAGT Goals

  • Provide parents and educators with support and information about giftedness
  • Increase parental awareness and involvement in the GT program at each school
  • Coordinate a parent liaison program at schools in the Grand Valley
  • Offer a variety of enrichment activities throughout the year
  • Maintain open communication between School District #51 and WCAGT

Our Mission Statement

Western Colorado Association for Gifted and Talented, WCAGT, in cooperation with School District #51, advocates, promotes and provides enrichment opportunities to help advanced learners more effectively reach their individual potential.

WCAGT needs more active members.

Current board members have been serving for over six years and have children that will be graduating from high school soon. New members are needed to step forward to carry on Super Saturday and to advocate for gifted
& talented students at the District, State, and building level.
